The phone rang at 8:15 AM. It was one of our site foremen—the calm one who never panics. That's how I knew it was bad.

The OEM part arrived the following Tuesday. It's sitting on our shelf now, waiting for the next breakdown. (Which, if I'm being honest, is probably coming. These machines work hard.)
What I Wish I'd Known
If I could redo that week, here's what I'd change:
- Get the parts manual first. Before calling anyone, I'd pull up the Dynapac CC122 manual, find the exact diagram, and confirm the revision. The 10 minutes that saves can save days of wrong orders.

The "right" part is the one that fits your machine, solves your problem, and gets you back to work. Sometimes those overlap. Sometimes they don't. Your job as a buyer is to figure out the difference.
